Changing Step North East is a not for profit, Social Enterprise Company, Limited by Guarantee and aims to provide a transitional service to former members of HM Forces and their dependants. This will be achieved by offering advice, support and training to assist with reintegration back into the civilian community. We will also offer our services to members of the local community, which we believe will help to promote the reintegration of former service personnel and their families. There is soon to be an announcement made by Changing Step which we at Spitfire APC are very excited about.
They are based in Crook a historic market town in County Durham. Changing Step from here also run The Veterans Military Crafts producing various pieces of woodwork which now includes Falconry Travel Boxes.

For us here at Spitfire Avian Pest Control, being made up from ex-servicemen, we love the fact that these organisations can work together and put all their resources in one bag. None of the people we have met from Changing Step or Help a Squaddie are in this for their own financial gain in fact they are all volunteers.
Just recently Changing Step sent young Liam Horn to us for 4 days. Liam had never touched a bird of prey before. If you have not seen the Video yet on our Facebook page just look below what happened over the 4 days. Falconry is a great secondary therapy for mental illness.
